Our client, a service provider to the Financial Services Industry has a permanent position available in, Sandton, Johannesburg.

 

The main purpose of the position is the hosting of different types of Exams within a secured environment according to the Rules and Regulations as stipulated by the FSB/MBSE

 

Main Responsibilities

  1. Hosting of different types of Exams within a secured environment.

  2. Providing support to the examination process ITO efficient administration of examinations, including the preparation of candidate entry, candidate invigilation, the distribution of examination materials, and the collection of the examinations).

Requirements

  • Matric and/or Relevant Tertiary qualification (Experience of working or studying in higher education environment desirable)

  • 5-8 years’ experience in office administration

  • Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications – Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows applications, Internet and e-mail.

  • Fully Bilingual (Afrikaans & English) - Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English/Afrikaans language skills

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workload in order to meet deadlines

  • Ability to be methodical, detail-oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Secretary or a Junior Attorney for a legal firm based in Brooklyn, Pretoria

 

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL:

  • Three to five years relevant experience  

  • Knowledge of Third Party Claims against the Road Accident Fund 

  • Claim process from initiation up to litigation   - This also includes Watching Briefs, including communication with other attorneys who handle claims on behalf of clients and acting on behalf of certain Medical Aids 

  • The successful candidate also needs to lease with Medical aids concerning the Third party claim

Overall responsibilities of the role:

The position requires the candidate to carry out all the duties and responsibilities, normally involved, from a Receptionist / Assistant in a friendly, professional and competent way and to assist the Employer to run a business and to render a service to its clients.

Key tasks involved:

  • Must be prepared to operate as the key person in the office as the Receptionist / Assistant.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall responsibilities of the role:

  • The position requires the candidate to carry out all the duties and responsibilities as an accountant and for the Employer and to enable the Employer to render bookkeeping and accounting services to its clients.

Key Tasks Involved:

This will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Writing up and processing bookkeeping entries to trial balance and closing accounting

  • entries using mainly Pastel, QuickBooks and other accounting software.

  • Debtors, creditors and bank reconciliation's

  • Preparation of management accounts, cash flows, budgets

  • Account reconciliation's and clearing accounts

  • Payroll: Salaries, wages & related processing using VIP payroll software

  • Completion and lodgement of all statutory returns including:

  • Vat

  • Paye

  • UIF, SDL, Workman’s compensation

  • EMP 501, tax certificates and reconciliation

  • Dealing with SARS, handling all queries and audits, Department of Labour and other government departments

  • Use of various manual & computerised systems, MS Office Systems and processes

  • IT12 and IT14 tax returns for corporate, trusts & individuals

  • SARS audits, reviews and correspondence

  • Preparation of year-end audit/bookkeeping file

  • Preparation of annual financial statements using Caseware
